She is a very nice woman who runs a "horse circle" through a local meetup group for hiking and walking signups. After hearing you say that he was a family man, I see now why she is proud of her heritage.
Wonderful disclosure on 1920s Chicago and your great grandpa Gov. Len (Lennington) Small, Jennifer! I'm thinking 'Some Like It Hot' movie based on Valentine massacre witnesses on the lam, in drag. Features 1922 song 'Runnin Wild' sung by Marilyn Monroe in 1959 which sums up the general feeling of the Roaring 20s as you described. Not so roaring if you're branded Losers and subject to postwar Weinmar Republic until next WW. But life is a cabaret, ain't it? Love your depiction of Capone, Jennifer! Great job. :)
